The plastic adjustic barrels on the E30 M3 S14 throttle and cruise control cables have a habit of breaking, making both throttle and cruise control dangerously unpredictable. BMW makes wire clips to reinforce these components, but you may want to try a more robust solution. I made this clamping device with aluminum plate and a plastic block carved to cradle the cables.
The assembly attaches to the intake plenum with the existing acorn nuts.
The cables can still be adjusted: just loosen clamping screws, make the adjustment, then retighten.
